From a user:
==============
I have facebook integration working, but the posts display the wrong app icon. I can't tell if this is incorrectly configured in socialize or on the facebook side. I've verified that the app id is correct in both. On the facebook side I have icons uploaded for the faceboko app, but its still uses the wrong one. I was wondering if this something socialize changes when making facebook posts?

This is a known issue we're working on, as the icon selected by Facebook is usually the wrong one by default. One of our devs will get back to you with a more specific explanation and what we're doing to resolve it.

Here's what the icon looks like: http://drod.io/0Z023Q1l1F0G3y2F1P34 for the Comic Turtle app (app URL at http://itunes.apple.com/kz/app/comic-...)
But here's what the FB wall post looks like: http://drod.io/1i26463V3M0K2Y2H2d3w (wrong icon) -

Check out our latest SmartDownload page, which uses og and meta information to select the right image for your shares. Updates to Android and iOS SDKs coming very soon :)

I am having the same problem with my App. I changed the icon in manual Icon URL area, but I don't see my icon on my Facebook posts via App. I do see the icon in smartdownloads page out from Facebook. Any help?

seems like the page info scrapes correctly for that entity: http://cl.ly/3X1p3N3t282a192o312h
1) Your old data may have been cached before up updated the app icon in Socialize.
2) What SDK/Platform version are you using? You should be on v2.0+ to get the most up to date posting format.
3) You can always test FB posts to see if it is cached, or mismatched by using there debug tool here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools...
4) When you click on the link at the botton of the post where does it take you? Can you post that link here please? -
-
1) I just shared again, and it seems the icon still isnt there. Is it possible to clear the cache?
2) iOS platform, SDK version - I'm checking with my dev.
3) I receive this error when using Debug Tool - Error Parsing URL: Error parsing input URL, no data was scraped.
4) http://social.startal.com/a/25870f48-... -

I didn't even realize you had a vanity url over ours.
That caused a parsing problem, but good news is it an easy fix and we just realsed a change.
Can you try it again please? -

crap..... checking....( I really think it is some sort of cache on FB.... :-/ ) BRB

I see your using your own vanity URI, can you try it with our default "r.getsocialize.com" base URI and see fi it comes up differently?

Okay, hmmm, well what I want to test is if the url is cached because everywhere else I test (see below) it it works fine.
You can see it is pulling fine here:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools...
And here is a screenshot:

So, could you try a different entity or anything that posts a URL to FB consisting of a link you have NEVER tried before so we can be sure we are working with a URL that is 100% not cached.
I will see if I can find a cache clearer for FB in the meantime, but it will be good to make sure on your end if it is def that problem per my investigations above.-
Here is a post on "Facebook Cache Hell":

FYI: I was even able to like content on the site and get all new icons and data posted to FB:

On a side note: You or your developer is not setting the "name" property of the entity correctly or leaving it blank. By doing so you don't get the nice looking titles for your posts on the site.
Examples:
The way your entities post as URLs instead of names:
http://cl.ly/3v0i1b3v431m2l2Q3H3v
The way it should show up if the entities names are named correctly:

Here is the documentation entities. Use the "name" property shown:
